Offline marketing
Categories: Marketing
Have any of you sites owners, ever tried offline marketing? I’m not particularly speaking about tv or radio ads but rather about none standard and, as a rule, inexpensive ways to promote your sites. A banner on your car, bizcards, local events sponsorship, yard signs, whatever.
Please, share your experience with others and don’t forget to mention your site niche, specifics, demography, and geographic targeting.
Thanks.

Stumbled across your blog… HookUP.com just signed a great deal with the Fillmore Theatres: http://www.livenation.com/venue/getVenue/venueId/1380/ to be their Online Dating sponsor! We’ll get a 30 second spot on the main screen behind the stage that will rotate before, between acts and intermission… As well, we can hang posters and have representives at the shows… And we get 6 VIP tickets to every show! In exchange for advertising them on our site. As this venue holds around 3,500 and is one of the greatest places to see concerts in the country (the US) we are very excited. Hopefully we will be fully running with you guys soon! Hopefully some of the other theaters in the LiveNation network will join as well!
Cheers.

What an obvious attempt to sell a different product.
I love the software, and have not had any problems. Support is good. Although there are no native English speakers which makes some issues harder to explain, they’ve always done their best and we have worked out every problem I have faced thus far. It’s hard to argue with 24/7 support from a human even if their English isn’t all that great. I highly recommend SkaDate.

Jason,
We’d love to hear about the results of this campaign, if it can be measured even roughly. Sponsoring events is a good idea, it can help establish recognition and build word-of-mouth within local communities. Keep up the good work!

Well
I have done nothing more than off line marketing for my site. www.guyanaparadise.com. Guyana is a very small country in South America, happens to be the only English speaking country in South America and it is part of the Caribbean. I do not have enough money to do online marketing, so i decided to try some off line strategies.
Now being base in NY and trying to reach my target audience a few thousand miles away hasn’t been much of a challenge to me, i started printed out fliers, banners. And i had some close relatives and friends to put stickers, and custom design signs with the name Guyanaparadise.com on their cars, boats, trucks, and in front of their house, gates etc, even on light poles…not only that but horse carts, and donkey carts. I know that might sound crazy but it gained me 202 members in just ten days.
I think you should try this out, i am 100 percent sure it will work, and i am speaking from experience.
I would also like to thank the Skadate support team with the prompt and reliable support that they have given me.
