Skalfa Team is glad to announce launching a new version of SkaDate Dating Software – SkaDate 7.5 combining a powerful platform, a great set of essential and entertaining features and professional templates.
First of all, we would like to thank the members of our great SkaDate community who contributed to making SkaDate 7.5 what it is. The software improvement suggestions you made at suggest.skadate have formed the basis of this release bringing SkaDate dating script closer to perfection.

Internet Explorer 8 support:
SkaDate software optimization for IE8 has long been awated, as this browser is becoming more and more popular. We have worked on every possible detail to make SkaDate and IE8 perfectly compatible. Now you can enjoy flawless script performance in Enternet Explorer 7, 8 and Mozilla Firefox.
Virtual Gift Shop:
Now your site members have more fun ways to interact. A Virtual Gift Shop feature allows them to exchange graphic virtual gifts to express sympathy for each other. A member will be able to choose whether to display the virtual gifts he received on the Profile View page, or hide them. A site Administrator will be able to make this service free or available to paying members only. Site members will be able to buy gifst from the Virtual Shop with user points (credits).
User Points System:
Makes it a lot more comfortable for members to use such site services as Virtual Gift Shop. User points (or, credits) can be purchased from a site Administrator regardless of the membership type, and then spent on favorite site features and services. We are planning to continue improving this feature to make it a complete and user-friendly replacement for a Credits membership type.
Music Upload:
Here is another entertaining feature for your site members to enjoy their online dating experience – we have added a possibility to upload music files in MP3 format to a member’s profile. Site users can also rate their favorite music tracks, and comment on them.
Photo Verification Tool:
To take another step towards safe online dating we have added a photo verification tool into SkaDate. It is intended to help site Administrators to identify authentic user photos, and prevent scammers from registration. Here is how it works: A system generates a unique code for every newly-registered site member. During the photo upload process a member will see a note suggesting him to take a picture of oneself holding a piece of paper with the unique verification code written on it. The site Administrator will then use this photo as a reference for comparing with the rest of this member’s photos. When the verification process is completed – the site Administrator can set a ‘Verified’ status to the member’s profile photos, which will be visible to all the site members. We believe this feature will be a contribution to any dating web site’s reputation and trustworthiness.
Note: The photo verification tool is optional – it can be enabled or disabled in the Admin Panel.
123 Web Messenger:
Expanding the integration of 123FlashChat addons with SkaDate dating and community software we have added one more entertaining communication tool for your site members – 123 Web Messenger. This addon features an advanced flash Instant Messenger with a possibility of live communication through webcam, and a Windows Desktop Client.
Mass-mailing to internal site mailboxes:
A significant drawback of mass-mailing is that Administrator’s messages quite often go to Spam folders thus affecting mass-mailing efficiency. We have made it possible for site Administrators to choose either to send bulk messages to personal members’ emails, or to their internal site mailboxes. In case with on-site mailbox mailing you can be 100% sure that the message will reach the recipient once he logs in.
Private and Public profile status:
Internet users are getting more and more concerned about their privacy online. To meet their demands we have added a possibility to make a profile Private (visible to friends only), or Public (accessible for everybody). A site Administrator can make this service available to paying members only.
Uploaded photo rotate:
Site members have a possibility to rotate an uploaded photo left or right without leaving their profile page to use a third-party photo editor.
Possibility to set the date for membership expiration notification:
Site Administrators can set up Activity Scheduler in a way that a notification about membership expiration will be sent out prior to the expiration date. The number of days before the membership end date when the notification is sent can be easily edited in the Admin Panel along with the mail template.
Limited search results:
The feature allows site Administrators to limit search results view for certain membership types (ex.: Guest, Free) to one page. If a member tries to browse further – the system will suggest him upgrading his membership.
New dating template:
To give our customers more freedom for choosing a web site design we have added a new dating template and made some improvements to the existing templates design. Make your site look professional and attractive with colorful SkaDate community and dating templates.

Hey guy’s, nice to see more improvements. When will you have the demo live to try out of V7.5? A few more suggestions.
1) make the website “wider” by incorporating the member console into the actual pages. Notice that myspace, tagged.com etc are 3 inches wider than skadate.
2) Locate and add a “good” graphic designer to the certified specialists list for us. Good custom designers are hard to find.
3) remove the “mailbox” link completely from the top of the header. I noticed the new versions have it in the member home box.
4) You need to offer ALL BUGS or problems to be fixed with purchase at no additional cost. I still have a few things on my site that do not work and I do not want to pay to get them fixed.
Keep up the good work. It gets better with every release. Take a look at tagged.com. You can get some good idea’s from that site.
I am ready to start another site this month. V7.5 mobile might work for me.

But PLEASE do not follow up with the social networking software direction. It seems like you mights are trying to head that direction with the music, gifts and other new features
Sux that it costs users money to get upgrades when owning the script for less than a year. I think this is one of the only script providers who don’t offer upgrades free for 1 year when buying their script. Not so happy camper!

This is not correct. SkaDate offers free lifetime access to all version updates and upgrades to the customers, no matter for how long you have been the software owner.

I am very very disapointed that you only make the IE8 update in an upgrade. This means that I have to pay an additional fee for your software even though I do not need any of the other functionalities you have added.
The fact that IE8 does not work correctly in version 7 and earlier, I regard as an error and you have to make a fix for that. A fix that we existing members do not have to pay for.

The point January 7 is making is that it cost us Admins too much money if we ask Skadate to do the upgrade. Yes, the new version is available in the customer area for download BUT you guys know that if Admins dont have some PHP or other technical skills then upgrades is not possible. Also, the upgrade documentation is badly written and useless.
I dont agree with Chris here…. social networking features are necessary, most Admins are focusing their site on Both social networking and dating together on one site. A single site where users find friends and members for dating. Users are looking for fun online whilst looking for dating.

The User-point system was not developed as propose in Skadate feature suggestion forum…. missing is:
1. Members to earn points base on actions taken on the site, i only see that members earn points by only purchasing.
2. Although, Virtual Gift Shop is powerful and very useful, i am very disappointed that that is the only thing members can use Earn Points for. More things need to develop where members can use their Earn Points. Sending virtual gift alone is not enough

We are open to feature suggestions from our customers. So, if you feel that Winks feature is really necessary along with the Virtual Gift Shop – suggest adding it at suggest.skadate.com, and if other web masters support it – we will definitely consider adding Winks in one of the future builds.

Internet Explorer 8 (as any other browser) was first released as beta-version, which means it was not stable enough for adjusting SkaDate to it. As soon as it got stable – we started working on SkaDate and IE8 compatibility.
It had never been hidden from our customers that we guaranteed stable performance of SkaDate 7 in IE7 and FireFox.
It is a common practice for software vendors to improve their product, and make new features and fixes available in new builds and versions. All SkaDate updates and upgrades are available to our customers for free. Let me also mention that SkaDate customers are not obliged to use paid services of our technical team for website upgrade/update. They always have an option to update on their own, or refer to a third-party developer for assistance.

Here I just have to repeat that SkaDate customers are free to refer to any third-party developer for update/upgrade assistance, since the software code is 100% open and contains no licensed or encrypted files.
As to User Points System – you are absolutely right, Easton. We have not finished developing this feature yet, and we keep working on improving it. By the next software build it will become exactly what you want it to be.

And about the social features… they are very welcomed, Social tools are the way to go, in fact I´d like to see integration with Facebook (as I´ve seen in other dating software) in a future build.

There needs to be more ways members can Use Points…. Virtual gift shop is not enough. If a member has 1000 points what should he do just send Gifts lol…. There needs to be online Raffle, Online Game ( just a simple Dominoe Game played among members is good enough as a default),
The Online Raffle can work like this: (1) a member needs to have say 50 points to join a Raffle manage by Admin. (2) At every interval( say 3 months) a winner is Draw by Admin and winner member can get

I agree with most of the people, put the ability to wink back in, the gifting thing is ok but the wink is more personal. Truth be known gifting is nice but can get hectic
