In the above blog remark you state a new substantial update to SkaDate? Another beyond Unity? If this is true, what new and exciting things would be inlcuded?

Yes, the update is going to be really exciting. It’s a regular update but it will contain a great deal of features revision. Particularly, groups and events features will be much more advanced.

Also, by public demand we’re adding several minor things like member activity log and such, and a new, free template.

More items this dating program is missing is at the home page for members where it shows you “how many users in your state (area)” and “how many new members this week” and also how many times your profile has been viewed and by who, who added you to a hotlist, total members for the site, how manys online now, new photos this week, all and these controlled from the panel so administrator can choose what he/she wants the public to see

    Robert,

Personal blogs are there for members. If you describe what you mean by “public blogs” we will consider adding this feature if we don’t have it.

Extended members and personal statistics are on their way with the next update. In the upcoming one there will be “who viewed me”, and “latest photo”. Thanks for contribution and feel free to suggest things to implement!

“Public blogs” is a blog on the main page when you sign in, you just click on the blog button ( like the forums and other options ) where everyone can have there blogging converstions, stories, polls, or games they play. Like the public forums. The way you are offering the blogs is off of members profiles. And you can miss alot of interesting topics cause you have to search for a person to get there blog, and if a person in california has a good blog going but im searching in new york id never see it. All the big dating sites have them for example (friendfinder.com adultfriendfinder.com adultmatchdoctor.com) im not trying to step on any toes with the examples I am just giving you an example to go look at so you can see what im talking about for yourselves. These are extemely popular services and youll see by how many people use them. And also adding these would be great also “how many users in your state (area)” and “how many new members this week” and also how many times your profile has been viewed and by who, who added you to a hotlist, total members for the site, how manys online now, new photos this week. Adding these few items would really help to compete with big name sites dont get me wrong you have a GREAT script going here and im really impressed but for the price, hosting, add-ons and maintenance fees i really want to be able to compete with the big boys.

When will the new software be available? I’m considering buying but want the newest update first. Also is the source available on both $295 and $795 but just documented fully in the $795 version or? And I like Roberts suggestions, actually all of them.

Robert, thanks for the extensive description. You are speaking about aggregating blogs posts from different members. Yes, we have this implemented, the new update will add latest blog posts on the index page. This is a very basic implementation and we want to gather more feedback and suggestions on details to do extended things like blog feeds, dedicated blogs page, etc…

Member statistics summary is on its way, probably in one update.

    Thanks.

    Dave,

The new update is due to be released by the end of this week. All customers with version 6 license are entitled to this update. Source code available for $795 license, you might want to check our pricing table, http://www.skadate.com/pricing.php

You need to have a section for people that want to hook up now. I’ve seen this on other sites and it is sometimes referred to as a Booty Call for each state.
    Thanks

    Rich,

Describe it more, please. We don’t see public demand for such a feature.

    Thanks.

I’d like to see a real modern approach to the dating site. It’s like you did it half way then stopped. You can sign up as a couple looking for couples, but can only put one set of statistics in (birth date, height, weight and so on) Is this a possibility?

I would like you to complete the modern dating website with more on the couples aspect. You allow peopleto sign up as and looking for couples but when you only allow for one of the couple to enter Stats, height, weight etc. Can this be done in the new or future releases?

    Hi,

This functionality is long available in SkaDate. It’s one of the advanced admin area tools. You can set up sex (male, female, couple) as a key field for a set of dependent fields. So, say if a visitor signs up as a couple, there will be additional fields to fill, like spouse height, weight, etc…

Where in the admin area is this located?

One small features that I was waiting is a simple “Birthday List”, the same as “Featured members” and “Who’s on-line”, but about the people that this day are celebrating their birthday. It would be even nicer if the list could show: Today’s Birthdays, Tomorrow’s Birthdays and Next Week Birthdays. It is a easy way to visualize members and to start to contact with them.

    Hi Francesc,

Good feature, thanks. We’ll add something like this with the next update.

Another good idea that should be a part of the skadate script is that couples have to be female and male on the profiles and we all know this is 2007 where alot of couples is of the same sex and that should also be a search field ( male, female, Couples male & female, couples FF, couples MM, and another ive seen around TG/TV/TS for the transgenderd, transvestites, transsexuals) where two lesbians can look for two lesbians or a TS can look for a TS. etc.

And another idea would be a Certification ( feedback ) on profiles of the person with a account on a dating site. ( example: a man is talking to what he thinks is a woman they meet up and it turns out to be a man living as a woman EX: JERRY SPRINGER with this option the guy can go home log into the (feedback) section of the guys profile who’s deceiving people and can warn EVERYBODY. This would be a great security feature for females to warn them of a predator. And to have this feature where nobody can delete the feedback except the administrator of the site. And yes theres ways around the feature like creating a new profile but if it saved one person its well worth adding. I also believe in the near future its gonna be the sites that have security features to protect its clients thats gonna own the online dating world.

    Robert,

Thanks for your feedback. The first feature is available through profile field settings, the second feature is possible by slight modification of the profile comment system.
